In commemoration of Smt. R.Jayalakshmi Ammal’s 14th Death Anniversary, Sundar Matric. Hr. Sec.School, Poonamallee conducted the free medical camp in school premises on 05.08.2017 (Saturday) from 8.30a.m. to 3p.m.

Specialists from Sri Ramachandra Hospital & Ramachandra University in various branches of medicine including General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, ENT, Dental, Dermatology, Paediatrics, General Surgery arrived to the camp in order to bring affordable health care and free health information to the community.

Dr.S. Anandan, Dean in Ramachandra Medical Collage inaugurated the camp. Professor K. Balaji singh, H.O.D. of surgery in SRMC also visited the camp. Chairman, Vice Chairman and Councilors of Poonamallee Municipality graciously attended the camp.

The response from the public to the camp was amazing. 1460 people benefited through the camp. Free Medical Examination along with the blood sugar test, blood pressure test, ECG. ECHO and Ultra Sound Scan were provided by the school.

Free medicines were supplied to the patients. The medical camp was Successful by the guidance, active involvement and participation of our Correspondent Dr.R.Sundarrajan M.B.B.S., DCH., Advisor Mrs. B.Sudha B.Sc., M.A., B.Ed. and staff members.

On the whole, we are proud to say that the camp was a huge success and the objectives were achieved by the co-operation of the public.
